This meeting of the Licensing Committee will include a report on the licences determined by the authority since the beginning of the 2024/25 financial year, as well as a report outlining the decision-making scheme adopted by the council for licensing.

Decision-making scheme for licensing

The committee will be asked to endorse a report outlining the decision-making scheme adopted by Northumberland County Council for licensing. The report describes how the Licensing Committee discharges its duties as the local authority licensing authority and in particular the roles of the Licensing Committee, its subcommittees, and the Business Compliance and Public Safety Manager. The report is accompanied by extracts from the council's constitution and its licensing policies.

Update on licences issued

The meeting will also include an update on the licences determined since the beginning of the financial year both by the Licensing Subcommittee, and by officers acting under delegated authority. These will include:

• Premises Licences issued under the Licensing Act 2003
• Personal Licences issued under the Licensing Act 2003
• Temporary Events Notices issued under the Licensing Act 2003
• Premises Licences issued under the Gambling Act 2005
• Permits issued under the Gambling Act 2005
• Small Lottery Licences issued under the Gambling Act 2005
