The North Norfolk District Council's Overview & Scrutiny Committee met on Wednesday, 17 September 2025, to discuss the Police & Crime Plan, review the Corporate Plan's progress, examine budget monitoring, and address a petition regarding a footpath closure. Petition against closure of 'God's Path'
The committee considered a petition with 738 signatures from North Norfolk residents regarding the closure of a footpath known as 'God's Path' in Pretty Corner Woods in Sheringham. Police & Crime Commissioner Review
The committee received an overview of the Police & Crime Plan from the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC), and responded to questions. The Police and Crime Plan sets out the objectives for policing in Norfolk.
Corporate Plan Progress Report
The Director of Resources provided an update on the progress of the Corporate Plan 2023-27, reviewing the Action Plan 2024-25 and Action Plan 2025-26 up to the end of Quarter 1 (30 June 2025). The Corporate Plan outlines the council's key priorities and objectives for the specified period.
Budget Monitoring
The Director of Resources presented an update on the council's financial performance and projected outturn for 2025/26 as of the end of July 2025. This included a review of the revenue account, capital programme, and reserves statement.
NHOSC Quarterly Report
The committee received the NHOSC Report 24 July 2025.

The committee considered responses from the council and the cabinet regarding the committee's previous reports and recommendations.
Cabinet Work Programme
The committee reviewed the upcoming Cabinet Work Programme.
