The Hertfordshire County Council Cabinet met to discuss a range of issues, including budget pressures, home-to-school transport, and the relocation of council meetings. The meeting was scheduled to include both public and closed sessions, with the latter focusing on investment performance and local government pension scheme (LGPS) pooling.

The Hertfordshire County Council Cabinet met on 23 June 2025 and agreed to market County Hall for alternative uses and endorsed the Hertfordshire Youth Justice Plan 2025-26, recommending its approval to the County Council. A decision regarding the strategic direction of Herts Living Limited was also made, but was discussed in a closed session.

Environment, Transport & Growth Cabinet Panel - Tuesday, 10 June 2025 2.00 pm

The Environment, Transport and Growth Cabinet Panel met to discuss demand management at Hertfordshire's household waste and recycling centres (HWRCs). The panel agreed to recommend that officers set out a range of alternative proposals for managing demand at the centres for consideration via a public consultation exercise. These proposals will explore options beyond those initially suggested in the integrated plan.

Annual Meeting, County Council - Tuesday, 20 May 2025 10.00 am

At the annual meeting of Hertfordshire County Council, Councillor Laurence Brass was elected as the new Chairman, and Councillor Sandy Walkington was elected as Vice-Chairman. Councillor Steve Jarvis was elected as the Leader of the Council, marking a shift from the previous Conservative administration.
