Audit and Risk Committee - Tuesday, 21st May, 2024 7.00 pm

The meeting on 21 May 2024, discussed the Council's financial position, its Annual Governance Statement, its external audit plans, the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act and its cyber security arrangements. The committee voted to approve the draft unaudited 2023-24 Annual Governance Statement, to note the indicative audit plans for the Council and Pension Fund for the year ending 31 March 2024 and the level of directed surveillance undertaken by the council, and to note the Cyber Security Annual Report.

Pensions Board

Pensions Board - Wednesday, 20th March, 2024 4.00 pm

The minutes of the previous meeting held on the 6th of December 2023 were confirmed. The Board noted the Pension Administration performance data, the Pension Fund's performance data, and a report on the risks to the Fund. A vote of thanks was recorded for the work of former Councillor Dave Poyser as Chair of the Pensions Board.

The Islington Council Audit and Risk Committee meeting on 18 March 2024 approved the audited 2022/23 Statement of Accounts, noted the External Audit Findings Report for Islington Council, and approved the draft 2024/25 Internal Audit Plan. The committee also discussed the council's whistleblowing procedures, the progress of a review of its constitution, and considered the risk of instability in the social care market.
