The Licensing Sub Committee met to discuss a new premises licence for Asia Villa and Fermo Studio. The sub committee adjourned into a private session after the meeting to discuss the applications and will deliver their decisions within five working days.

Licensing Regulatory Committee - Tuesday, 3rd June, 2025 7.15 p.m.

The Licensing Regulatory Committee was scheduled to meet on Tuesday, 3 June 2025, to appoint a vice-chair and note the committee's terms of reference, membership, and quorum for the municipal year 2025/2026. The meeting was also scheduled to remind members to declare any interests they may have had in the items on the agenda.

Licensing Committee - Tuesday, 3rd June, 2025 7.30 p.m.

The Licensing Committee convened to discuss several key items, including the establishment of licensing subcommittees, the late-night levy, and a review of prosecutions and appeals. Councillor Suluk Ahmed was appointed Vice Chair of the Committee for the year. The committee also noted its terms of reference, membership, and quorum for the municipal year 2025-2026.

Annual Meeting, Council - Wednesday, 14th May, 2025 7.00 p.m.

The Tower Hamlets Council meeting on 14 May 2025 included the election of a new speaker and deputy speaker, and decisions on the make-up of committees for the municipal year. Councillor Suluk Ahmed was elected as the new speaker, and Councillor Bellal Uddin as deputy speaker. The council also voted to adopt an independent chair for the Audit Committee and re-adopted the council's constitution.
