Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday 9 September 2025 6.30 pm

The Overview and Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the Harrow Safeguarding Adult Board's annual report for 2024-25, which details the board's activities, strategic priorities and achievements in safeguarding adults at risk within the borough. Councillors asked questions and raised concerns about the report, and the committee noted the report and its action items.

Licensing Panel - Wednesday 20 August 2025 7.30 pm, NEW

The Harrow Council Licensing Panel met to review the premises licence for Mumbai Local, a restaurant located at 238-240 Streatfield Road, following an application from the Home Office. The panel heard evidence regarding alleged breaches of immigration law and ultimately decided to revoke the restaurant's licence.

Licensing Panel - Wednesday 20 August 2025 6.30 pm, NEW

The Harrow Council Licensing Panel met to consider an application for a new premises licence for Deluxe Off-Licence & Pan Parlour, located at 2 Village Way East, Harrow. The panel heard representations from the Metropolitan Police and the licensing authority, who objected to the application in its original form. The decision was deferred and will be sent to all parties in writing within five working days.

(Special - ILACS Report), Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday 8 July 2025 6.30 pm

The Overview and Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the council's response to a recent [Inspection of Local Authority Children's Services (ILACS)][^1] report, which rated Harrow Council's children's services as 'inadequate' overall, despite awarding 'good' ratings to two of the four judgement categories. The committee noted the report and discussed actions being taken to improve the service, particularly for care leavers.
