The committee heard from the applicant, objectors, and considered reports from council officers, before adjourning to make a decision. The decision was deferred and will be made at a later date.

Council - Wednesday, 16th July, 2025 7.00 p.m.

The Tower Hamlets Council meeting on 16 July 2025 addressed several key issues, including petitions related to community assets and funding, and the ongoing continuous improvement journey required by the government. Annual Meeting, Council - Wednesday, 14th May, 2025 7.00 p.m.

The Tower Hamlets Council meeting on 14 May 2025 included the election of a new speaker and deputy speaker, and decisions on the make-up of committees for the municipal year. Councillor Suluk Ahmed was elected as the new speaker, and Councillor Bellal Uddin as deputy speaker. The council also voted to adopt an independent chair for the Audit Committee and re-adopted the council's constitution.
