The Budget and Finance Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the council's financial position, including the projected overspend for 2025/26, a preliminary assessment of the 2026/27 budget, and an efficiency review. The committee agreed to recommend to the cabinet that they arrange 45-minute meetings with each cabinet member before 21 January to allow members to scrutinise them at length.
