The Community, Cultural, and Corporate Services Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the council's transformation portfolio, and to review and confirm the committee's work programme for the 2025/26 municipal year. Councillors scrutinised the transformation portfolio, questioning the progress of efficiency savings, the impact of the programme on vulnerable groups, and the approach to cross-cutting initiatives. The committee agreed to review the work programme in December, following the completion of the efficiency review.

The Lancashire County Council Cabinet met to discuss the county's financial performance, approve transport and highway projects, and update flag policies. The cabinet approved a capital allocation for a new primary school in Preston, accepted transport capital grants, and approved traffic regulation orders for the Accessible Nelson project. They also approved an updated flag policy and discussed the management of residual waste in East Lancashire.

The Lancashire Combined County Authority (LCCA) Audit and Governance Committee convened its inaugural meeting, during which they appointed Councillor David Whatley as the independent chair, reviewed and approved its constitution, membership, and terms of reference, and established its work programme for the upcoming year. The committee also approved the Internal Audit Annual Plan and Strategy for 2025/26, the Internal Audit Charter and Mandate, and the Risk Management Strategy and Corporate Risk and Opportunity Register, setting the stage for enhanced governance and accountability within the LCCA.
