Health and Adult Services Scrutiny Committee - Wednesday, 10th December, 2025 10.30 am
The Health and Adult Services Scrutiny Committee are scheduled to meet to discuss the use of digital technology in adult services, the 10 year health plan, and proposed changes to secondary care orthodontics. They will also review the committee and steering group work programmes for 2025/26.
Budget and Finance Scrutiny Committee - Monday, 24th November, 2025 2.00 pm
The Budget and Finance Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the council's financial position, including the projected overspend for 2025/26, a preliminary assessment of the 2026/27 budget, and an efficiency review. The committee agreed to recommend to the cabinet that they arrange 45-minute meetings with each cabinet member before 21 January to allow members to scrutinise them at length. The committee also discussed the importance of explaining acronyms in reports, and the need for more detail in the mitigations section of the financial monitoring report.

The Full Council of Lancashire Council is scheduled to meet on 20 November 2025 to discuss local government reorganisation, committee appointments, and updates to the council's constitution. The Health and Adult Services Scrutiny Committee met to discuss a new prevention strategy for Lancashire, a redesign of adult social care provider services, and the committee's work programme. The committee agreed that proposed changes to orthodontic services should be reviewed by the full committee. They also requested a report back after winter to review the impact of winter planning.
