At a meeting of the West Northamptonshire Council Cabinet, members approved a new Family Help Strategy, endorsed an updated approach to locality-based prevention, and approved several service plans related to health protection and enforcement. The Cabinet also agreed to exclude the press and public to discuss the restoration of property for service use.

Council - Thursday 25th September 2025 5.00 pm

The Council of West Northamptonshire Council convened to consider nominations for Honorary Aldermen and Alderwomen. The meeting was scheduled to include announcements from Councillor Alison Eastwood, Chairman of the Council, and Councillor Mark Arnull, Leader of the Council and Leader of the Reform UK Group. Councillors were also expected to address any urgent business and consider the exclusion of press and public for certain items.

The Council of West Northamptonshire Council was scheduled to meet on 25 September 2025, to discuss a range of issues including the West Northamptonshire Administration Delivery Plan, the Council Tax Reduction Scheme, and updates to the constitution. The West Northamptonshire Council Cabinet met to discuss a range of issues, including financial monitoring, public space protection, and affordable housing. The cabinet approved recommendations regarding the Ecton Brook Affordable Housing Development, insurance procurement, home to school transport, community equipment services, and the Local Council Tax Reduction Scheme.

Planning Policy Committee - Wednesday 17th September 2025 6.00 pm

The West Northamptonshire Council Planning Policy Committee met to discuss and approve the release of the draft West Northamptonshire Infrastructure and Developer Contributions Supplementary Planning Document (WNIDCSPD) for public consultation. The committee also agreed to use the indexation arrangements outlined in the document for all section 106 agreements[^2] in the interim. Finally, they delegated authority to the Head of Planning Policy and Specialist Services to make minor changes to the document before its release.
