The agenda includes receiving apologies for absence and declarations of interest, as well as considering the appointment of honorary aldermen and alderwomen. Cabinet - Thursday, 4 December 2025 2.00 pm
Derbyshire County Council's cabinet approved a public consultation on home to school transport policy changes, gave the go-ahead for a compulsory purchase order to support the South Derbyshire Growth Zone, and discussed budget preparations for 2026/27. The cabinet also reviewed performance and budget monitoring reports, progress at Markham Vale, and updates to the Library Strategy.
Extraordinary meeting, Council - Thursday, 13 November 2025 4.00 pm, NEW
The council met to discuss and vote on a recommendation to be put to the cabinet regarding local government reorganisation, and ultimately voted to support a single unitary council for the whole Derby and Derbyshire area. The council also agreed to delegate authority to the Interim Chief Executive, Simon Stevens, in discussion with Councillor Alan Graves, Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Strategic Leadership, to make any amendments and additions to the submission document following feedback from the full council.

The Derbyshire County Council cabinet met on 13 November 2025, approving a highways capital programme for 2026-27, allocating funds for homelessness prevention under the Homes for Ukraine scheme, and agreeing to seek a partner to improve the council's operating model. Councillors also approved an updated whistleblowing policy and allocated Section 106 [^2] funding to children's services. Finally, the cabinet approved an adjustment to the Ashbourne Reborn construction contract value, which was discussed in private.
