Safeguarding & Special Educational Needs Sub (Community & Children's Services) Committee - Monday, 13th October, 2025 11.00 am
The Safeguarding and Special Educational Needs Sub (Community & Children's Services) Committee met to discuss several reports and strategies related to safeguarding and services for children and adults. These included annual reports from the Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) and the City & Hackney Safeguarding Children Partnership Board (CHSCP), updates on the Families in the City programme, and performance reports on adult and children's social care. The committee was also scheduled to discuss and endorse the draft Corporate Parenting Strategy 2025-2028.
Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Sub Committee - Wednesday, 1st October, 2025 4.00 pm
The Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Sub Committee were scheduled to meet to discuss an independent evaluation of rough sleeping services, an update to the 2023-2027 homelessness strategy, and a proposal for a North East London rough sleeping grant. The meeting also included updates on tackling the negative impacts of rough sleeping, and commissioning and procurement for homelessness prevention.
Health and Wellbeing Board - Friday, 19th September, 2025 11.00 am
The City of London Health and Wellbeing Board met on 19 September 2025, to discuss the Better Care Fund, a pharmaceutical needs assessment, and the City and Hackney Healthy Weight Action Plan. The board also received updates on Healthwatch City of London and suicide prevention in the City of London.
Policy and Resources Committee - Thursday, 18th September, 2025 1.45 pm
The Policy and Resources Committee met to discuss a number of items, including changes to the Scheme of Delegations, an investment governance update, the appointment of additional members to the Competitiveness Advisory Board, a proposal for Faith in the City, and a rough sleeping prevention and recovery grant delivery proposal. The committee approved the recommendations for Faith in the City, the North East London Rough Sleeping Prevention and Recovery Grant Delivery Proposal, and the changes to the Scheme of Delegations.
Community & Children's Services Committee - Wednesday, 17th September, 2025 2.00 pm
The Community & Children's Services Committee were scheduled to discuss a new resident involvement strategy, a development proposal on Baltic Street West, and an asset management strategy for housing services. Also on the agenda was a proposal for the City of London to act as the lead authority for the North East London (NEL) Rough Sleeping Prevention and Recovery Grant.
