The Planning Policy Committee of West Northamptonshire Council approved the updated West Northamptonshire Local Development Scheme 2025 on 17 December 2025. The committee delegated authority to the Head of Planning Policy and Specialist Services to make minor editorial and presentational changes to the scheme.

The Planning Policy Committee of West Northamptonshire Council approved recommendations for the Grand Union and Oxford Canal Conservation Area Review on 19/11/2025. The committee agreed to designate a new conservation area boundary, approve changes to the appraisal and management plan, and adopt the plan as a Supplementary Planning Document.
