Vulnerable Adults, Health and Communities Policy and Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday 4th March, 2025 6.30 pm

The Vulnerable Adults, Health and Communities Policy and Scrutiny Committee will be asking questions about a range of services that are provided to vulnerable adults by Westminster Council, including the ways the council supports people to continue to live in their homes, and the ways that the council supports people with drug and alcohol dependency. The committee has previously asked for, and will receive, an update on how the finances of the Community Hubs programme are being managed.

This meeting was scheduled to include a motion to approve the appointment of Janet Kealey as an independent person to the council’s standards committee, a debate on the opportunities and challenges faced by residents of Harrow Road ward, a series of reports on the City Plan, homelessness, and reform of planning committees, and a report on Council Tax.

Inner West London Mental Health Services Reconfiguration Joint Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Thursday 12th December, 2024 6.30 pm, NEW

The most significant item on the agenda is a report on the Decision-Making Business Case for Acute Mental Health Services in the City of Westminster and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The Committee will also receive the minutes of its previous meeting.

Council - Wednesday 13th November, 2024 7.00 pm

The Council agreed to readopt the existing Gambling Policy for a further three years, to change the structure of the committees that make planning decisions, to grant Councillor Concia Albert dispensation from attending meetings, and to set the schedule for the Council's meetings in 2025-2026.

At this meeting of the full council, a number of petitions and questions were presented by members of the public, two topics were debated by Councillors, a new Instrument of Governance for the Westminster Adult Education Service (WAES) was approved, and a motion was passed relating to supporting pensioners struggling with the cost of living.
