The Strategic Planning Committee approved the construction of a storage and distribution building at Plot 6, Northampton Gateway Rail Freight Interchange, on 16 December 2025. This approval was granted in accordance with the Case Officer’s recommendation, subject to conditions and the completion of a Section 106 Agreement. The decision includes the allocation of mezzanine floorspace to offset trip generation and a 1-metre increase in building height above the DCO parameter for Zone A3.

The Strategic Planning Committee approved the reserved matters for parcels H40-43 at Towcester Vale Phase 1, London Road, Towcester on 16 December 2025. The decision was made in accordance with the Case Officer’s recommendation, subject to conditions.

The Strategic Planning Committee of West Northamptonshire Council approved recommendations on 16/12/2025. The decision was to grant permission for the redevelopment of land at Northampton Station, subject to additional conditions and the completion of a S106 Agreement. This includes financial contributions for healthcare, education, employment and skills training, library provisions, affordable housing, open space, and landscape maintenance.

The Strategic Planning Committee approved the demolition of an existing building and the erection of two employment units at 1 Stone Circle Road, Northampton, on 21 October 2025. The decision was approved subject to conditions. These conditions include a post-commissioning noise survey, full site characterisation and risk assessment, a remediation scheme, procedures for unexpected contamination, a detailed site-specific Construction Environmental Management Plan, and a detailed lighting scheme.

The Strategic Planning Committee of West Northamptonshire Council deferred the decision on the Car Park Railway Station, Black Lion Hill, Northampton application on 21 October 2025. The reasons for the deferral are to be set out in the Minutes.
