Democracy and Standards Committee - Monday 18th August, 2025 7.00 pm

The Democracy and Standards Committee met to discuss a community governance review, appoint a co-opted member to the committee, and appoint members to the Independent Remuneration Panel and to the role of Independent Persons. The committee approved the timetable for the Community Governance Review 2025-26, recommended the appointment of Councillor Lora Lawman to the committee, recommended the appointment of five members to the Independent Remuneration Panel, and recommended the appointment of three Independent Persons.

Planning Committee - Wednesday 6th August, 2025 7.00 pm

The North Northamptonshire Council Planning Committee met on Wednesday 6 August 2025 to discuss and vote on a planning application for a change of use of a property in Rushden. Councillors voted to approve the application for the change of use of 69 Wellingborough Road, Rushden from a dwelling house to a nine-person HMO[^2], subject to conditions.
