Overview and Scrutiny Performance Board - Friday, 12th December, 2025 10.00 am

The Overview and Scrutiny Performance Board is scheduled to convene to discuss community safety, review its work programme, and consider updates from scrutiny chairmen and lead members. A key focus of the meeting is to consider the annual update on Worcestershire County Council's statutory duties in relation to community safety, with a specific overview of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG). The Adult Care and Well-Being Overview and Scrutiny Panel are scheduled to meet on Thursday 4 December 2025 to discuss the Worcestershire Safeguarding Adults Board Annual Report, the role of assistive technology in care planning, and performance and budget monitoring. The panel will also discuss their work programme. The meeting is being held at Wyre Forest District Council, Finepoint Way, Kidderminster.

The Economy Overview and Scrutiny Panel met to discuss the Shrub Hill Quarter development, performance and budget monitoring, and the panel's work programme. Representatives from the council and partner organisations were expected to be present to answer questions from the panel. The meeting was scheduled to be recorded and made available on the council's website.

The Overview and Scrutiny Performance Board met on 17 November 2025 to discuss local government reorganisation in Worcestershire, as well as to review scrutiny chairs' updates, the work programme, and the cabinet forward plan. The meeting was held at Wychavon District Council Offices, in Pershore. Councillors were expected to consider and comment on these topics.

Worcestershire County Council met on 6 November 2025, and councillors primarily discussed the proposal for a single unitary authority in Worcestershire, the interim external auditor's report, and a recommendation to approve changes to the capital programme. The council also considered an amendment to the LGPS Central Shareholder Representative Delegation, and a number of notices of motion.
