Extraordinary Meeting - Local Government Reorganisation, County Council - Wednesday, 19 November 2025 10.30 am

The Hertfordshire County Council convened an extraordinary meeting on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at County Hall in Hertford. The primary focus of the meeting was to consider the Local Government Reorganisation Business Case. The meeting also provided an opportunity for public questions and petitions related to the business at hand.

Health Scrutiny Committee - Monday, 10 November 2025 10.00 am

The Health Scrutiny Committee met to discuss mental health and learning disability services provided by Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT), and to agree the Committee's work programme for the coming year. The committee agreed to write a letter to the Secretary of State regarding funding for adult acute mental health beds, and requested a future update on child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS).

Children's Social Care Cabinet Panel - Monday, 3 November 2025 10.00 am

The Children's Social Care Cabinet Panel met in Stevenage to discuss the 2024-25 performance reports for both the Fostering and Adoption services, and to note the Plan for Children and Young People Performance Report 2024/25. Councillors praised the work of social workers and foster carers, while also raising concerns about staff retention, the number of children in care, and the

County Council - Tuesday, 21 October 2025 10.00 am

The Hertfordshire County Council met to discuss a range of issues, including the appointment of a chair to the Overview and Scrutiny Committee, political proportionality on committees, and a petition regarding the Hertfordshire Local Government Pension Scheme. The council also discussed and approved a new corporate plan, and heard reports from various committees.

Health Scrutiny Committee - Friday, 19 September 2025 10.00 am

The Hertfordshire Health Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the Hemel Hempstead Health Campus development and to review the committee's work programme for 2025-26. The committee agreed to recommendations regarding the Hemel Hempstead Health Campus, and approved the scrutiny work programme for 2025-26 with amendments and additions.
