The Democracy and Standards Committee met to discuss a community governance review, appoint a co-opted member to the committee, and appoint members to the Independent Remuneration Panel and to the role of Independent Persons. The committee approved the timetable for the Community Governance Review 2025-26, recommended the appointment of Councillor Lora Lawman to the committee, recommended the appointment of five members to the Independent Remuneration Panel, and recommended the appointment of three Independent Persons.

Planning Committee - Wednesday 6th August, 2025 7.00 pm

The North Northamptonshire Council Planning Committee met on Wednesday 6 August 2025 to discuss and vote on a planning application for a change of use of a property in Rushden. Councillors voted to approve the application for the change of use of 69 Wellingborough Road, Rushden from a dwelling house to a nine-person HMO[^2], subject to conditions.

Health Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday 15th July, 2025 7.00 pm

The Health Scrutiny Committee was scheduled to meet to welcome new members, review its work plan, and receive introductory presentations from the Northamptonshire Integrated Care Board (ICB), Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT), and Kettering General Hospital (KGH). The presentations were intended to inform the committee about potential areas for future scrutiny.

The North Northamptonshire Council Planning Committee was scheduled to meet on 9 July 2025 to consider planning applications for a change of use in Wellingborough, a tourist accommodation development at Rockingham Forest Park, and a hybrid application for a storage and distribution unit and employment park in Thrapston.
