The Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee of Wiltshire Council was scheduled to meet on Wednesday 28 January 2026 to review the council's performance and risk monitoring for the third quarter of the 2025/26 financial year. The committee was also set to consider a proposal for a new task group to examine the Area Boards' grant funding model and receive updates on ongoing task group activities.

Extraordinary Meeting, Council - Wednesday 7 January 2026 10.30 am

Wiltshire Council's extraordinary meeting on 7 January 2026 saw a significant debate on the proposed disposal of St Stephen's Multi-Storey Car Park in Trowbridge, which was ultimately defeated by a tied vote. Councillors also discussed and approved an extension to the council tax premium on long-term empty homes, but rejected a proposal to introduce a premium on second homes.

Cabinet - Tuesday 9 December 2025 10.00 am

The Wiltshire Council cabinet met to discuss a range of issues, including waste management, adoption services, and budget adjustments, and agreed to increase council tax on second homes and long-term empty properties. They also approved a plan to create a special school satellite campus at the Northwood Centre, and to award a contract for bus shelter maintenance.

Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee - Wednesday 19 November 2025 10.30 am

The Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee met on 19 November 2025, and agreed to note an update on the Wiltshire Community Strategic Partnership's work, including improvements to systems for the public to report anti-social behaviour, and to receive a further update in six months. The committee also endorsed the findings and recommendations of a Rapid Scrutiny Exercise on corporate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), while expressing disappointment at the Executive's limited acceptance of the recommendations, and agreed to consider two notices of motion regarding screenwash and billposting, task group updates, and select committee forward work programmes.
