At the annual meeting of the Westminster City Council, Councillor Paul Dimoldenberg was elected as the new Lord Mayor, succeeding Councillor Robert Rigby. The council also approved changes to the Procurement Code and confirmed the allocation of places on standing committees.

Climate Action, Environment and Highways Policy and Scrutiny Committee - Monday 28th April, 2025 5.00 pm, NEW

The Climate Action, Environment and Highways Policy and Scrutiny Committee met to review the call-in of a Cabinet Member Decision regarding the Future of Pimlico District Heating Undertaking (PDHU). The committee ultimately voted against referring the decision back to the cabinet, allowing the original decision to proceed. During the meeting, members raised concerns about consultant spending, the rationale behind technology choices, and the need for transparency in the decision-making process.

Licensing Sub-Committee (3) - Wednesday 16th April, 2025 10.00 am

The Licensing Sub-Committee (3) of Westminster Council scheduled a meeting to take place on 16 April 2025, to discuss licensing applications. Councillor Robert Eagleton, Deputy Cabinet Member - Finance and Fairer Working, Councillor Iman Less, Deputy Cabinet Member - Public and Mental Health and Night Time Champion, and Councillor Ed Pitt Ford were scheduled to be in attendance. The agenda for the meeting indicates that the sub-committee was scheduled to consider three licensing applications.

Licensing Committee - Monday 17th March, 2025 6.30 pm

This meeting was scheduled to include a review of the fees the council charges for licences issued under the Licensing Act 2003, and to receive an update on the Westminster After Dark initiative. The committee was also scheduled to receive an update on the status of appeals against its decisions.

Pension Fund Committee - Thursday 13th March, 2025 6.30 pm

This meeting of the Pension Fund Committee will receive an update on the administration of the Fund and hear about the City of Westminster Pension Fund's (CoWPF) current and forecasted financial position. The Committee will also consider the Fund's exposure to Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as receiving an update on investment performance. The Committee are also scheduled to discuss whether to appoint an independent advisor for the Fund.
