Housing Scrutiny Commission - Tuesday 2 December 2025 7.00 pm

The Housing Scrutiny Commission met to discuss district heating, the Good Landlord Plan, and the commission's work programme for the coming year. The commission reviewed the preparedness of the council's district heating systems for winter, and discussed ways to address overly warm homes. Members also received an update on the Good Landlord Plan, which aims to improve housing services in the borough, and agreed to the commission's work programme for 2025-26.

Ordinary meeting, Council Assembly - Wednesday 12 November 2025 7.00 pm

Southwark Council Assembly met to discuss resident's rights, ethical investments, and local funding, among other items. The council approved changes to its committee structure and investment strategy, and reappointed an independent advisor. Motions were passed regarding fairer funding, ethical investments, improvements to Peckham Rye Station, and Thames Water.

Planning Committee (Major Applications) B - Wednesday 5 November 2025 6.30 pm

The Planning Committee (Major Applications) B met on 5 November 2025, and approved the release of £250,000 for cycling infrastructure improvements on Mandela Way, and approved the demolition of Coburg House and erection of a new building comprising commercial floorspace and purpose built student accommodation. Councillor Richard Livingstone, Chair of the Planning Committee (Major Applications) B, informed the meeting that an addendum report and members' pack had been circulated.

Planning Committee (Smaller Applications) - Wednesday 15 October 2025 7.00 pm

The Planning Committee (Smaller Applications) was scheduled to convene to discuss several planning matters, including tree preservation orders and a development management application. The meeting was set to address objections to proposed Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) and consider an application for the construction of social rented homes.
