Public Accounts Select Committee - Tuesday, 28th January, 2025 7.00 pm
This meeting was about the budget for Lewisham Council in the 2025-26 financial year and included a report from officers outlining the proposed budget and the council tax levels for the coming financial year. The Council approved the Statement of Accounts 2023/24 and Annual Report 2023/24. The Council also approved a number of amendments to the Council’s Constitution and, as part of its statutory duty, approved changes to the polling scheme for elections and referendums. Finally, the Council adopted a motion declaring Lewisham a “Right to Food Borough”.
Audit and Risk Committee - Thursday, 12th December, 2024 7.00 pm
The Committee received an update from the Council’s external auditors, KPMG, and confirmed the minutes of the previous meeting. It also discussed an update on the progress of the Council's Internal Audit work, and approved its new Internal Audit Charter. Finally, the committee received an update on the Council's Corporate Risk Register.
