Licensing Sub Committee A - Thursday, 20th February, 2025 6.30 pm

The Licensing Sub-Committee A of Islington Council met to discuss two applications for licensed premises in the borough. The meeting was scheduled for 6.30 pm on 20th February 2025 at the Town Hall on Upper Street. No decisions were made in the meeting, and this article describes only what was scheduled to be discussed, not what was actually discussed or decided.

Environment, Climate and Transport Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday, 14th January, 2025 7.30 pm

The committee heard a presentation about the council's work on greening the borough, and heard evidence from council officers about two council policy documents, the draft Climate Action Supplementary Planning Document (SPD), and the accompanying Retrofit Handbook. The committee also considered two of the council's annual reports, the 12-Month update on the Circular Economy and Green Jobs Review, and the 12-Month update on the Overview of the Council's 2030 Net Zero Carbon Programme Review.

Licensing Committee - Tuesday, 17th December, 2024 6.20 pm

The Licensing Committee meeting on 17 December 2024 included an agenda item on the proposed changes to the membership of one of its Licensing Sub-Committees, as well as the confirmation of the minutes of the previous meeting.

This meeting considered two applications for new premises licences in Islington.

Council - Thursday, 12th December, 2024 7.15 pm

At the meeting on 12 December, the council made a number of decisions. The council approved the adoption of a new Council Tax Support Scheme. Councillors voted to note the annual Armed Forces Covenant Annual Report. Councillors noted the political balance of the council, following the results of a by-election and the recent formation of the Independent and Green Group. Councillors voted to adopt an updated constitution, and approved a series of new committee appointments. Finally, councillors discussed and then voted to adopt two motions: one on giving refugees time to resettle, and a second on winter fuel allowance.
