Special Meeting, Resources and Fire & Rescue Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Monday 22 September 2025 10.00 am

The Resources and Fire & Rescue Overview and Scrutiny Committee met to discuss a new flag policy and a compulsory purchase order (CPO) for the Wheat Street/Leicester Road area in Nuneaton. Councillors voted against a proposal to send the flag policy back to the cabinet for further discussion, and also voted against a proposal to publish the reasons behind decisions on whether or not to allow a flag to be flown. The committee agreed to hold a future meeting to examine the Wheat Street/Leicester Road CPO in greater detail.

Children & Young People Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday 16 September 2025 10.00 am

The Children and Young People Overview and Scrutiny Committee met to discuss several key issues, including challenges in the education capital programme, updates on special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and the integrated performance report for the first quarter of 2025/26. The committee considered and commented on the challenges and mitigations relating to the council's education capital programme, as well as the update regarding children with Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans.

Health and Wellbeing Board - Wednesday 10 September 2025 1.30 pm

The Warwickshire Health and Wellbeing Board met to discuss Healthwatch Warwickshire's annual report, the Orchard Centre update, the Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment, and the Children and Young People Partnership. The board approved the publication of the Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment and the appointment of the Executive Director for Children and Young People as the Chair of the Children and Young People Partnership.

Cabinet - Thursday 4 September 2025 1.45 pm

Warwickshire County Council's Cabinet met to discuss the first quarter integrated performance report, the financial monitoring position, and a value for money programme. They approved a plan to explore the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in council services, additions to the education capital programme, and a flag policy for council buildings. The cabinet also recommended that the council approve adding a developer-funded highways improvement scheme to the capital programme.

Portfolio Holder Decisions/Leader Decisions - Friday 8 August 2025 1.30 pm

In a meeting on Friday 8 August 2025, Warwickshire Council's Portfolio Holder Decisions/Leader Decisions, chaired by Councillor George Finch, Leader of the Council and Portfolio Holder for Children & Families, convened to discuss and approve the procurement process for the construction of Callendar Farm Primary School. The council authorised the Executive Director for Children and Young People to proceed with tendering and contracting for the project.
