At the annual meeting of the Westminster City Council, Councillor Paul Dimoldenberg was elected as the new Lord Mayor, succeeding Councillor Robert Rigby. The council also approved changes to the Procurement Code and confirmed the allocation of places on standing committees.

Licensing Sub-Committee (4) - Thursday 24th April, 2025 10.00 am

The Westminster City Council Licensing Sub-Committee met to discuss an application for a new premises licence for KFC, 43 Charing Cross Road, London, WC2H 0AP. Supercharger South Limited has applied for permission to extend late night refreshment services until 3am, seven days a week. After hearing arguments from the applicant, the police, the licensing authority, and environmental health, the committee adjourned to consider the evidence.

Licensing Committee - Monday 17th March, 2025 6.30 pm

This meeting was scheduled to include a review of the fees the council charges for licences issued under the Licensing Act 2003, and to receive an update on the Westminster After Dark initiative. The committee was also scheduled to receive an update on the status of appeals against its decisions.

Housing and Regeneration Policy and Scrutiny Committee - Wednesday 12th March, 2025 6.30 pm

The meeting of Westminster City Council's Housing and Regeneration Policy and Scrutiny Committee on 12 March 2025 included discussion about a range of housing related topics, including performance of the repairs service, an update on damp and mould in council properties and discussion around the effectiveness of the Council's Housing Compact with registered providers in addressing damp and mould across the borough.
