At a meeting on 3 September 2025, North Northamptonshire Council discussed a range of issues, including public health, the appointment of independent persons, and political balance on council committees. Councillors approved the Director of Public Health’s annual report, the establishment of an Independent Remuneration Panel, and a scheme for the enrolment of Honorary Aldermen and Alderwomen. They also voted on several motions, approving those related to planning committees and business rates, while rejecting motions concerning a planning issue in Loddington/Cransley, service harmonisation and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Health Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday 15th July, 2025 7.00 pm

The Health Scrutiny Committee was scheduled to meet to welcome new members, review its work plan, and receive introductory presentations from the Northamptonshire Integrated Care Board (ICB), Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT), and Kettering General Hospital (KGH). The presentations were intended to inform the committee about potential areas for future scrutiny.

The North Northamptonshire Council was scheduled to meet on 26 June 2025 to discuss several key issues, including the adoption of a new Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing Policy, the replacement of the Adults Social Care System, and changes to the political balance on council committees. Councillors were also expected to consider three motions related to the Gypsy & Traveller Local Plan, an Everyone Matters Campaign , and business rates for town centre businesses. The meeting was also set to include public participation and councillor questions.

Annual Council, Council - Thursday 22nd May, 2025 6.00 pm

At the annual meeting of North Northamptonshire Council, Councillor Helen Campbell was elected as Chair of the Council, and Councillor Maurice Eglin was appointed as Vice-Chair. Councillors also noted the election results from 1 May, which saw Reform UK gain a majority on the council, and they approved committee memberships and appointments to outside bodies.
