The Lincolnshire Council Planning and Regulation Committee met to discuss several traffic regulation orders and a large solar farm proposal. The committee approved recommendations for traffic restrictions in various locations, supported a pedestrian crossing feasibility study, and objected to the Springwell Energy Farm solar panel installation.

Lincolnshire Police and Crime Panel - Friday, 6th June, 2025 11.00 am

The Lincolnshire Police and Crime Panel met to elect a chair and vice-chair, address panel composition, review the Police and Crime Commissioner’s annual report, and discuss the HMICFRS PEEL report. Councillor Chris Cook was elected as chair, and Councillor Graham Marsh as vice-chair. The panel also agreed to co-opt an additional member to meet statutory balance requirements.

Councillor Steve Bunney was elected as the new Chairman of the council, and Councillor Mike Beecham was appointed as Vice Chairman. Councillors debated and voted on amendments to the council's constitution, including the structure of scrutiny committees, but ultimately approved the proposed changes. Councillor Sean Matthews was elected as the Leader of the Council, and he outlined his priorities for the coming term, including reducing council debt and protecting Lincolnshire's countryside.
