Remaining Grant Allocation for the delivery of Afghan Refugee Resettlement Scheme

From: Executive - Thursday, 20th February, 2025 6.00 pm - February 20, 2025

In 2023 the Council successfully secured £3.1m of Local Authority Housing fund (LAHF) grant allocation for the purchase of the 17 properties as part of the Ukrainian and Afghan resettlement scheme. In March 2023, Executive approved the release of up to £2m commuted sums (developer contributions for affordable housing) to be used in conjunction with this grant to purchase these properties. Further approving delegated powers for the Deputy Chief Executive to approve the transfer of commuted sums, the end landlord and borrowing terms for each property.
