Award of contract and authority to spend for roofing works at the Council's Torre Road Fleet Services depot

From: Corporate Governance and Audit Committee - Monday, 28th July, 2025 10.30 am - July 28, 2025

The deterioration in the condition of the roof at the Torre Road depot is such that this now represents a health and safety risk, with significant water ingress impacting on the operational service. Completing a competitive procurement and engaging a contractor to undertake roof replacement works has now become a matter of urgency. A procurement process is therefore now proposed and this represents forward notification of a decision expected to be taken in January 2025 to award a contract for completion of these works.
