The Standards and Conduct Committee promotes and maintains high standards of conduct for Leeds City Council members and co-opted members. It advises the Council on its codes of conduct for members and employees.

The committee can set up a sub-committee to investigate allegations that a councillor or a parish councillor in Leeds has not followed their code of conduct. This sub-committee considers if action is needed and can recommend appropriate steps.
