Licensing Sub-Committee - Tuesday, 15th July, 2025 11.00 am

The Kensington and Chelsea Licensing Sub-Committee convened to discuss a temporary event notice (TEN) application for Thai Rice, located at 303 Portobello Road, during the Notting Hill Carnival. Objections were raised by both the police and the council's noise and nuisance team. The committee ultimately decided to issue a counter notice, effectively denying the application.

Licensing Sub-Committee - Thursday, 10th July, 2025 10.00 am

The Licensing Sub-Committee was scheduled to convene to consider a notice given by Mr Innocent Ndemera to hold a temporary licensable event at Flat A, 27 Tavistock Road. Objections to the notice were received from the Metropolitan Police and the Environmental Health Noise and Nuisance team, prompting the hearing. The sub-committee was to consider these objections and determine whether to allow the event to proceed, reject it, or impose conditions.

Full Council - Wednesday, 25th June, 2025 6.30 pm

The Kensington and Chelsea Full Council met to discuss a range of issues, including community safety, the impact of national insurance contributions, and step-free access at South Kensington station. The council agreed to note reports on urgent decisions and community safety, and also agreed to request that the Lead Member for Finance investigate the implications of changes to National Insurance Contributions (NICs) and make a written submission to the government.

The Licensing Sub-Committee of Kensington and Chelsea Council met to consider a notice to hold a temporary licensable event at 198 Westbourne Park Road, London, W11 1EP. The licensing authority had received an objection notice from the Metropolitan Police, and the sub-committee was scheduled to consider the objection. The sub-committee was to decide whether to issue a counter notice, take no action, or impose conditions.

Licensing Sub-Committee - Thursday, 29th May, 2025 10.00 am

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC)'s Licensing Sub-Committee met to consider an application from Kensington RG Limited for a new premises licence for The Roof Gardens at 99 Kensington High Street. The committee refused a request for an adjournment from the Kensington Square Residents Association (KSRA), and heard arguments for and against the application, before adjourning to make their decision in private. The decision will be communicated to all parties within five working days, with a full decision to follow.
