...to address persistent anti-social vehicle use, including car cruising, the existing Public Space Protection Order was extended for three years, until January 2029, and amended to include additional prohibited activities such as parking and exiting vehicles in non-designated spaces at car cruises, and shouting, swearing, abusing, or intimidating others at such events.

...to facilitate flexible voting pilots in May 2026, the council approved accepting grant funding, directly awarding a contract to Civica for software development, and delegating authority to the Director of Law and Governance to finalize the contract.
