TEN Application: Walthamstow Trades Hall & Institute, 17 Hoe St, Walthamstow, E17 4SB, Licensing Act 2003 Sub-Committee - Monday, 22nd December, 2025 10.00 am

The Licensing Act 2003 Sub-Committee is scheduled to convene to discuss a temporary event notice (TEN) application for the Walthamstow Trades Hall & Institute. The Licensing Act 2003 Sub-Committee is scheduled to convene to consider an application for a new premises licence. The application is for 1st City Self Drive, and has attracted a representation from another person, leading to a hearing. Councillors will be asked to decide whether to grant the application in full, grant it in part, or refuse it.

Review of a Premises Licence - BlackStar Grill & Bar, 54 St James Street, Walthamstow E17 7PE, Licensing Act 2003 Sub-Committee - Tuesday, 16th December, 2025 11.00 am

The Licensing Act 2003 Sub-Committee is scheduled to convene to review the premises licence for BlackStar Bar & Grill, following an application for review. The sub-committee will hear evidence and consider representations before determining whether to modify, suspend, or revoke the licence, or take no action. The meeting may also exclude the press and public from part of the meeting.

Council - Thursday, 11th December, 2025 7.30 pm

The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest was scheduled to meet on 11 December 2025, to discuss several matters including a motion to support national gambling reform, the local council tax support scheme, and proposed fees and charges for the upcoming financial year. Councillors were also scheduled to discuss a proposed new smoke control order, the Corporate Parenting Board annual report, and a protocol for honorary alderpeople.

Planning Committee - Tuesday, 2nd December, 2025 7.00 pm

The Waltham Forest Council Planning Committee met on 2 December 2025, and approved planning permission for the construction of two residential units on Boscombe Avenue, and for the demolition of the Grove Motoring Centre and the construction of a new residential building. Both developments are subject to conditions, informatives, and the completion of a Section 106 Legal Agreement (S106).
