Adults and Health Select Committee - Wednesday, 8 October 2025 10.00 am

The Adults and Health Select Committee met to discuss the Mindworks transformation programme and the older people's residential and nursing care strategy. Councillors questioned officers from Surrey and Borders Partnership Trust (SABP) about waiting times, the support available in schools, and how the services are communicated to parents. The committee also discussed a plan for residential and nursing care, and agreed to continue to prepare a strategic business case for approval by the cabinet.

Surrey Local Pension Board - Friday, 25 July 2025 10.00 am

The Surrey Local Pension Board met to discuss a range of issues relating to the management and administration of the Surrey Pension Fund. Discussions included updates on the fund's performance, risk management, administration strategy, and compliance with regulations. The board also reviewed the draft annual report and received updates on key projects such as the McCloud remedy and the pensions dashboard.

Planning and Regulatory Committee - Wednesday, 23 July 2025 10.30 am

The Planning and Regulatory Committee met to discuss a proposal by Surrey County Council to build a new junior school at Woodhatch Place, and an application relating to Hookwood Waste Management Centre. The committee voted to approve the school proposal, and to refuse the application relating to Hookwood Waste Management Centre.

Children, Families, Lifelong Learning and Culture Select Committee - Wednesday, 16 July 2025 10.00 am

The Children, Families, Lifelong Learning and Culture Select Committee met to discuss several key issues, including progress in additional needs and disabilities support, the service's response to a recent Ofsted inspection, and performance overview reports. Councillors agreed to endorse recommendations to Cabinet regarding additional funding and staffing for SEND services, and also scrutinised Ofsted reports on council-run children's homes.
