Croydon Council met on 16 July 2025, and among other business, agreed to changes to the council's constitution, and debated petitions relating to plant-based food and local issues. The council also discussed concerns raised by residents in Croydon Question Time.

Extraordinary Council Meeting, Council - Thursday, 10th July, 2025 6.30 pm

Croydon Council held an extraordinary meeting to discuss the potential implications of the Secretary of State's intention to appoint commissioners to the council. The council agreed to note a report from Statutory Officers on the matter, and then heard a statement from Mayor Jason Perry, followed by questions from councillors. The council discussed the government's proposal, the council's financial position, and the potential impact on services.

Licensing Committee - Monday, 7th July, 2025 6.30 pm

The Licensing Committee was scheduled to convene to discuss street trading designations and licenses, as well as to review minutes from past meetings. The committee, including Councillor Patsy Cummings, Chair of the Licensing Committee, and Councillor Mohammed Islam, Deputy Civic Mayor, was expected to consider applications for designating specific sites for street trading and granting licenses for those locations.

Planning Committee - Thursday, 3rd July, 2025 6.30 pm

The Croydon Council Planning Committee was scheduled to meet on 3 July 2025 to discuss a planning application for a change of use on Marlpit Lane, and to note recent planning decisions. There were no development presentations scheduled for this meeting.

Health & Wellbeing Board - Wednesday, 18th June, 2025 2.00 pm

The Croydon Health & Wellbeing Board convened to discuss several key issues, including the development of the board itself, the Better Care Fund, a pharmaceutical needs assessment, local community partnerships, and the Director of Public Health's annual report. The board approved a themed approach for its forward plan, discussed representation from the voluntary sector, and approved the addition of a representative from the Croydon Resident Voices Group to its membership. The board also signed off on the Better Care Fund Year End Submission for 2024/25 and received updates on the Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment and Local Community Partnerships.
