Family Hubs Commissioning Intentions

From: Executive Cabinet - Wednesday, 23rd April, 2025 1.00 pm - April 23, 2025

Family Hubs Grant funding was due to cease on 31 March 2025, on 20 December 2024 it was announced that the funding for Tameside family hubs would continue, and the service received information on our maximum funding allocation.    All work undertaken since the start of the Family Hubs programme had considered the need to plan for a sustainable model going forward, this has been a priority for both managers and work stream leads.  Given that this funding was for 12 months, sustainability and forward planning will remain a priority.

Recommendations Approved

Priority Account Service Contract Agreement

From: Executive Cabinet - Wednesday, 23rd April, 2025 1.00 pm - April 23, 2025

This report outlined a proposed renewal of the contract with Oxygen Finance Ltd for 4 years until 2029, with the option to extend a further 2 years.  Continuing with PAS and the associated initiatives does offer a significant opportunity to continue to deliver and potentially increase the financial benefits for the organisation whilst offering suppliers the ability to receive payment early in return for the Council taking a small benefit.
