Greenwich Council has reviewed its financial strategy, debated the future of adventure playgrounds, and discussed government funding cuts. The council also appointed His Honour Judge Andrew Lees as the Honorary Recorder for the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
Children and Young People Scrutiny Panel - Wednesday, 17th September, 2025 6.30 pm
The Children and Young People Scrutiny Panel met to discuss complaints, performance monitoring, and the Wellbeing in Schools Hubs (WiSH) initiative. The panel reviewed the Complaints, Compliments and Representations Annual Report 2024-25, the Quarter 1 Performance Monitor 2025-2026, and received an update on the WiSH programme. No decisions were taken during the meeting, but recommendations may be made to the Executive based on the discussions.
Housing and Neighbourhoods Scrutiny Panel - Wednesday, 10th September, 2025 6.30 pm
The Royal Borough of Greenwich's Housing and Neighbourhoods Scrutiny Panel met on 10 September 2025, and agreed to defer a discussion on leaseholder repayment terms to a later meeting on 15 October 2025. The panel also discussed a new strategy for ending male violence against women and girls, and reviewed the schedule for upcoming reports.
Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Thursday, 4th September, 2025 6.30 pm
In a meeting recorded and posted to the council's YouTube channel, the Royal Borough of Greenwich Overview and Scrutiny Committee convened to discuss the borough's status as a Borough of Sanctuary, and to consider future reports and upcoming executive decisions.
