Housing and Neighbourhoods Scrutiny Panel - Thursday, 12th December, 2024 6.30 pm

Council - Wednesday, 4th December, 2024 7.00 pm
The Council welcomed two new Councillors following recent by-election successes, offered its condolences following the death of former Councillor John Cartwright, and agreed to note five petition responses and the answers to 36 written questions. The Council adopted a new gambling policy and noted the Royal Borough of Greenwich Strategic Risk Register, the Treasury and Capital Strategy mid-year update, and a revised constitution.
Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Thursday, 28th November, 2024 6.30 pm
The Overview and Scrutiny Committee noted the Carbon Neutral Plan Year 3 update. The committee discussed the challenges to achieving a carbon neutral borough by 2030, including the availability of external funding and the need for greater alignment with national policy objectives. The committee made several recommendations including that the council should seek to leverage the buying power of developers to support retrofitting the borough's housing stock.
Housing and Neighbourhoods Scrutiny Panel - Thursday, 21st November, 2024 6.30 pm
This meeting was scheduled to review Royal Borough of Greenwich's (RBG) performance on housing safety and compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing's consumer standards, as well as to examine the council’s response to the homelessness crisis and the growing demand for Temporary Accommodation (TA). It was also scheduled to note the work programme for the next meeting.
Children and Young People Scrutiny Panel - Wednesday, 13th November, 2024 6.30 pm
This meeting covered a range of topics relating to the activities and performance of the Council's Children's Services in supporting children in care, care leavers and other vulnerable groups in the borough.
