The Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Commission met to review updates on emerging matters within the health and care system, and to consider reports on adult safeguarding in Newham and the Care Quality Commission's assurance of adult social care services. The meeting also included a review of the commission's work programme.

Key discussions were planned around the council's priorities for the upcoming year, the results of a pupil survey on religious education, and guidance for schools on observing Ramadan.
