The Planning and Transportation Committee of the City of London Council met on Monday 22 June 2026 to discuss a range of important planning matters. Streets and Walkways Sub (Planning and Transportation) Committee - Wednesday, 13 May 2026 - 1.45 pm

The Streets and Walkways Sub (Planning and Transportation) Committee was scheduled to discuss several key infrastructure projects, including the Aldgate to Blackfriars Cycleway and the Salisbury Square Highways and Public Realm Project. The committee was also set to consider the proposed extension of the Highway Construction and Maintenance Term Contract and review delegated decisions made by officers.

The Planning and Transportation Committee met on Wednesday 6 May 2026. The committee elected a new Chair and Deputy Chair. The committee appointed members to the Streets and Walkways Sub-Committee and the Local Plans Sub-Committee, and approved the terms of reference for both, as well as the terms of reference for the Planning Applications Sub-Committee. The committee also approved overseas travel for the Chair to attend the World Cities Summit in Singapore.
