The Oxfordshire Council Cabinet met to discuss and approve the submission of the council's proposal for local government reorganisation to the government, deciding to endorse the One Oxfordshire
plan with some revisions. This plan suggests replacing the current two-tier system with a single county unitary authority.
County Council - Tuesday, 4 November 2025 11.00 am
The Oxfordshire County Council meeting scheduled for 4 November 2025 included an address by the Lord Lieutenant of Oxfordshire, Mrs Marjorie Glasgow BEM, and consideration of the new strategic plan, changes to financial regulations and the youth justice annual plan. Councillors were also expected to discuss a number of motions, including one to end the Oxford Congestion Charge scheme.
Cabinet - Tuesday, 21 October 2025 2.00 pm
Oxfordshire County Council's Cabinet met on 21 October 2025 and approved a new strategic plan for 2025-2028, a biodiversity action framework, and a plan for future bus regulation, among other items. The Cabinet also received updates on the council's financial performance and capital programme, and discussed a new operating model for the Fire and Rescue service.

The Oxfordshire Health & Wellbeing Board met to discuss a range of issues including the Oxfordshire Winter Plan, the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment, and the Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment. The board was also scheduled to receive updates on the Marmot Place programme, the Health & Wellbeing Strategy, and reports from Healthwatch Oxfordshire and various partnership boards.
