The Cabinet of Brent Council met on Monday 08 December 2025, approving the Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy 2026-2031 and the direct award of a contract for the Integrated Treatment Recovery Wellbeing and Substance Misuse Service. The meeting also saw the approval of a new five-year contract for the procurement of secure cycle parking provision and a detailed update on the Council's corporate performance for the second quarter of the financial year.

The Welsh Harp Joint Consultative Committee met to discuss the management and operation of the Welsh Harp Reservoir[^2] and surrounding areas. Updates on the Welsh Harp Management Plan from both the London Borough of Brent and the London Borough of Barnet were scheduled, along with an update from the Canal & River Trust on restoration works. The committee was also expected to review the minutes from the previous meeting and discuss future meeting dates.

The Brent Council Cabinet met to discuss budget proposals for 2026-27, approve a health and wellbeing hub in Gladstone Park, and address school place planning. Councillors also approved adopting the socio-economic duty to reduce inequality and backed a collaborative procurement for sexual health services.

Council - Monday 10 November 2025 6.00 pm

The Brent Council meeting on 10 November 2025 addressed a range of local issues, including community safety, housing, environmental concerns, and financial planning. Motions were passed regarding bee corridor management, support for free childcare, and reforming the two-child benefit limit, while a motion on affordable housing was defeated. The council also formally adopted the Brent Youth Justice Plan 2025-28.
