Council - Wednesday, 5th November, 2025 7.30 pm

The Council of the London Borough of Bexley is scheduled to meet on 5 November 2025. The agenda includes the Leader's report, questions from the public and councillors, and motions deferred from a previous meeting. Finance & Corporate Services Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Wednesday, 15th October, 2025 7.30 pm

The Finance and Corporate Services Overview and Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the customer experience strategy, the people strategy, and the work programme. The committee noted the progress made on the customer experience strategy and the people strategy, and agreed to set up a task and finish group on the new Procurement Act regulations. Councillor Stefano Borella, Leader of the Labour Group / Shadow Cabinet Member for Corporate Policy and Budget, enquired whether Councillor David Leaf, Cabinet Member for Resources, would continue to attend the committee meetings once he is elected as leader of the council.

Planning Committee - Thursday, 9th October, 2025 7.00 pm

The Bexley Council Planning Committee met to discuss three town planning applications. A proposal for 12 flats on Old Manor Way was deferred for more information about road safety, while plans for a building containing two flats on Lea Vale were approved. Councillors also approved a retrospective application for air conditioning units at Blendon Methodist Church.

Pensions Committee - Monday, 6th October, 2025 7.30 pm

The Bexley Council Pensions Committee scheduled a meeting to discuss the administration and financial performance of the Bexley Pension Fund. The agenda included a review of the fund's annual report, quarterly performance, and investment strategy. Councillors were also expected to review the results of a survey on investment beliefs and strategic asset allocation.

Planning Committee - Thursday, 4th September, 2025 7.00 pm

The Bexley Council Planning Committee met to discuss several town planning applications for development, ultimately approving applications for 41 Burnt Oak Lane, 29 Ellison Road, 19A Melanie Close, 9 The Green, Land Adjacent to 309 Halfway Street, and 99 Bexley High Street. Councillors also approved an application to vary condition 2 of planning permission Ref: 21/01708/FUL for Land Adjacent To 1-18 Evans Court, and approved alterations to the Premier Inn at 51 Albion Road. Councillors refused an application for garages adjacent to 11 Black Horse Road.
