This meeting was the second of two Agreed Syllabus Conferences held to consider proposed amendments to the Richmond Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education, which is required to be reviewed by law every five years. The meeting was provided with a revised draft of the 2020 Syllabus, which included the changes proposed at the previous meeting, held on 3 October 2024. The meeting was also provided with a draft of the proposed revisions to the Early Years Foundation Stage section of the Syllabus. Please note that this article only describes what was scheduled to be discussed, as detailed in the meeting documents, and not what was actually discussed.

The Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE) of Richmond upon Thames Council met on Thursday 27 June 2024 to discuss various topics, including the Richmond SACRE website audit, the findings of a sub-group report, and the inclusion of non-religious worldviews in the curriculum. Decisions were made to update the SACRE website and to incorporate Sentientism into the religious education syllabus.
