Cardiff Council's Cabinet is scheduled to convene on Thursday, 19 March 2026, with a packed agenda covering a range of significant local issues. Key discussions are expected to include the proposed renewal of the city's Business Improvement District (BID) and the potential introduction of a Visitor Levy. The Cabinet will also consider the Housing Revenue Account Business Plan for 2026-27 and a new Tenant Engagement Strategy, alongside plans for the procurement of contractors for recladding and improvement works at Beech House and Sycamore House. Commissioning of the replacement Frameworks for Maintenance of Council Properties and for Disabled Adaptations

The first of the current frameworks delivering Building Maintenance Services for Council properties have been in place since January 2022 and are due to expire 31st December 2025. The remaining building maintenance frameworks have varying end dates from March 2026 to February 2027. The first of the current frameworks delivering Domestic Disabled Adaptations has been in place since 1st January 2022 and is due to end 31st December 2025. The remaining frameworks have varying end dates from April to June 2026. The report will set out proposals for recommissioning of all of these frameworks based on the learning from the operation of the previous frameworks.

Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Roadmap

The Transport White Paper and the One Planet Cardiff Strategy sets out the need to increase electric vehicle charging infrastructure across the city as part of an integrated transport strategy. The Road Map sets out the scale of the infrastructure requirement from all sectors, and the role that the Council will take in enabling further infrastructure for the public provision of charge points. The Road Map sets out that the focus or the council over the next few years will be to increase public infrastructure provision in residential areas of the city with low levels of off-street parking.

Budget Monitoring - Month 4 Report

8th Cardiff Local Development Plan Annual Monitoring Report

The Cardiff Local Development Plan (LDP) was formally adopted by the Council on 28th January 2016. As part of the statutory development plan process the Council is required to prepare an Annual Monitoring Report (AMR) and submit it to Welsh Government by the end of October each year. This report will outline the purpose, key findings and conclusions of the seventh AMR and seek its endorsement for submission to the Welsh Government by 31st October 2024.
