The Audit and Governance Committee of Waltham Forest Council met on 6 May 2025 to consider a range of reports related to the council's financial and governance arrangements. At a meeting of the Waltham Forest Council, councillors approved an updated Local Development Scheme and declared a Nature Emergency in the borough. The council also paid tribute to former Councillor Mohammad Asghar, father of Councillor Naheed Asghar, Portfolio Lead Member - Inclusive Economy, who had recently passed away.

Budget Scrutiny Committee - Wednesday, 23rd April, 2025 7.00 pm

The Budget Scrutiny Committee was scheduled to meet on 23 April 2025 at Waltham Forest Town Hall. The agenda included updates on joint ventures and council-owned companies, as well as a review of the committee's activities. The committee was also expected to discuss the forward plan for the next municipal year.

Special Meeting: Annual Budget and Council Tax Setting, Council - Thursday, 27th February, 2025 7.30 pm

This meeting is scheduled to cover a wide range of financial matters, including the Council's budget for 2025-26, the rates at which it will charge fees for its services, its plans to invest in new buildings and infrastructure and the pay of its employees. The meeting is also scheduled to include the appointment of Paul Calaminus to the Health and Wellbeing Board.

Budget Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday, 18th February, 2025 7.00 pm

The Budget Scrutiny Committee was scheduled to receive a report on the latest forecast outturn position for revenue expenditure for 2024-25, as well as the Housing Revenue Account, Dedicated Schools Grant and the Capital Programme. The Committee was also scheduled to receive a report on the Council’s proposed budget for 2025-26.
