The Hertfordshire County Council Pensions Committee met on 26 September 2025 to discuss employer risk and governance, performance reports, and the pension fund risk register. County Council - Tuesday, 22 July 2025 10.00 am

The Hertfordshire County Council met to discuss a range of issues, including political proportionality, traffic congestion, youth justice, and local government reorganisation, and ultimately voted to continue exploring options for local government reorganisation, while also agreeing to re-establish a youth parliament. The council also paid tribute to former Councillor Alan Plancy, MBE, who recently passed away.

Special Meeting, Overview & Scrutiny Committee - Wednesday, 9 July 2025 8.30 am

The Overview and Scrutiny Committee met to consider a call-in regarding the marketing of County Hall for alternative uses and the relocation of democratic meetings. The committee ultimately decided to refer the decision back to the Cabinet for reconsideration, citing insufficient detail in financial information and concerns about the process for such a significant decision.

The committee also reviewed the investment performance report as at 31 March 2025.

Overview & Scrutiny Committee - Wednesday, 25 June 2025 10.00 am

The Overview and Scrutiny Committee of Hertfordshire Council met on Wednesday 25 June 2025 to discuss permanent exclusions in Hertfordshire schools, workforce recruitment and retention, and the scrutiny work programme for 2025-26. The committee noted the report on permanent exclusions and requested additional data. They also endorsed the workforce recruitment and retention overview, and approved the scrutiny work programme for the upcoming year with agreed amendments.
