Call In Hearing, Place and Resources Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday 19th August 2025 7.00 pm

The Place and Resources Overview and Scrutiny Committee convened to address a call-in regarding a cabinet decision on the Sustainability Strategy Review. Councillor Rosie Humphreys initiated the call-in, supported by several other councillors, to enable scrutiny of the implications of resolutions endorsed by the cabinet on 16 July 2025. The committee was scheduled to consider whether to refer the decision back to the cabinet, refer the matter to the full council, or take no further action.

Local Pension Board - Wednesday 2nd July 2025 2.00 pm

The Local Pension Board was scheduled to discuss governance and compliance, administering authority discretions, and the administration of the Northamptonshire Pension Fund. The board was also expected to review the fund's risk register and updates on employers joining or leaving the fund.

Council - Thursday 26th June 2025 5.00 pm

West Northamptonshire Council was scheduled to meet on 26 June 2025 at The Great Hall at The Guildhall, Northampton. The agenda included the presentation of annual reports from overview and scrutiny committees, a review of the council's flag protocol, and a discussion on setting allowances for council members. Councillors were also expected to discuss regional devolution, youth services, and support for children in care.

The Place and Resources Overview and Scrutiny Committee was scheduled to meet to discuss its remit and work programme for the coming year. Councillors were also expected to receive an overview of key priorities, risks, and challenges for service areas within the committee's remit.

The West Northamptonshire Council meeting scheduled for 15 May 2025 included the election of a chair and vice-chair, the appointment of a leader, and the allocation of seats to committees based on political balance. Councillors were also expected to note the names of the leaders and deputy leaders of the political groups, as well as the members of the Cabinet.
